LAND COLLECTIVE at Virginia Tech Landscape Architecture Week
LAND COLLECTIVE’s David Rubin and Nicholas Denney (a Virginia Tech alum) have been invited to participate in Landscape Architecture Week at Virginia Tech’s College of Architecture and Urban Studies. David will deliver the keynote speech at the 1st Annual Landscape Architecture Networking Banquet on Thursday, February 27th, from 6-9. By presenting case studies of the studio’s recent work, he will illustrate how an empathetic design ethos and the integration of social, ecological, and sustainable principles can connect individuals from diverse backgrounds within the medium of landscape.
On Friday, February 28th, David and Nicholas will be providing insights on professional practice and topics concerning the discipline. Following their presentations, David will work one-on-one with landscape architecture students to discuss and critique their individual portfolios, resumes, and cover letters. We find it an important and meaningful opportunity to help emerging landscape architects to better understand professional practice and the narrative of presenting one’s design work in a personal portfolio.
Later this week, expect to see updates from Virginia Tech’s Landscape Architecture Week on our Twitter feed @Land_Collective.
