From October 28 to November 22, GALLERY Land Collective will present SARAH KAIZAR: Hiker Trash.
It’s an off-beat, diverse community that travels the nearly 2,200 miles of the Appalachian Trail, the oldest long-distance footpath in the country. Sarah Kaizar’s Hiker Trash captures, through her intricate pen-and-ink drawings, the character of the trail, its landscape, and its ubiquitous shelters, as well as the array of hikers who find respite beneath those roofs. Based on the experiences of her 2015 thru-hike, the exhibition includes works from Sarah’s recently released book Hiker Trash: Notes, Sketches + Other Detritus from the Appalachian Trail, published by Mountaineers Books.
Works are available through the artist.
Please join us for the show’s opening reception on First Friday, November 1, 6–8pm!
