Design Problem-Solving in the Anthropocene, a lecture given at the American Philosophical Society’s Annual Meeting in March of 2019, was adapted into an essay for publication.
The American Philosophical Society (APS) is the oldest learned society in the United States. Founded by Benjamin Franklin in 1743, it continues its mission of “promoting useful knowledge” through research, fellowships, and public outreach. At the request of the Society, David A. Rubin was invited to lecture at the APS’s Annual Meeting in March of 2019 and subsequently requested to adapt the lecture for publication in Proceedings Volume 164, Number 1 (March 2020).
