Job Description: Studio/Gallery Manager
The Studio/Gallery Manager is a full-time position with benefits. The role of the Studio Manager focuses on administrative duties in support of DAVID RUBIN Land Collective in Old City Philadelphia with a satellite office in Indianapolis, IN. This position is as a part of the Philadelphia studio.
In addition to general administration efforts, the role includes support of the studio’s principal, David Rubin. The Studio Manager will work in collaboration with Marketing for the purposes of coordinating social media and proposal responses (strong editing skills and/or graphic design skills (Adobe InDesign/Illustrator) are therefore listed). In addition, the Studio Manager will coordinate Gallery Land Collective (a landscape-focused, curated exhibition space with four to six exhibitions per year (The Gallery has been closed due to the epidemic but will re-open when social gathering is possible, once again.)).
Responsibilities of the Studio/Gallery Manager include:
The role requires strong attention to detail, comfort taking on new tasks and challenges independently, an ability to maintain discretion when dealing with sensitive information, an ability to synthesize and prioritize many competing internal and external schedules, and an ability to manage many disparate long- and short-term tasks at once.
