DAVID RUBIN Land Collective Establishes Indianapolis Studio

DAVID RUBIN Land Collective is proud to announce the opening of our new studio in Indianapolis, IN – the first extension of our Philadelphia office, founded five short years ago in 2013. The studio will be located in the historic district of Fletcher Place at 646 Virginia Avenue. Our work within Indianapolis began in 2008, when David Rubin collaborated with Eskenazi Health Hospital on the design of their new campus and The Commonground & Sky Farm. After the success of the Cummins, Inc. Indianapolis Distribution Unit Headquarters, DAVID RUBIN Land Collective was selected as the landscape architect for the Cummins Corporate Office Building and Campus in Columbus, Indiana.

This expansion to Indiana is in response to an increasing amount of civic-centered work on the boards in the Midwest, including a commission (with unanimous selection by City Council) to vision and implement waterfront parks and the adjacent neighborhoods of Riverfront Fort Wayne, Phases II and III. Other formative and on-going projects in Indiana include: the iconic six-acre park of Grand Junction Plaza in Westfield; the waterfront park of Kitselman Trailhead in Muncie; the master plan for the Central Indiana White River Regional Strategic Plan in Hamilton & Marion Counties, in collaboration with Agency Landscape + Planning; and the Envision Columbus Downtown Strategic Development Plan for Columbus. The studio also recently completed the master plan for Newfields (formerly known as the Indianapolis Museum of Art), and is working to implement landscape initiatives within the historic Olmsted Brothers campus.

Landscape Architect Brian Staresnick will be the first employee to spearhead the Indianapolis studio, and will soon be joined by other designers to better serve ongoing design and construction work in the region. The Indianapolis studio will seamlessly expand our range of influence in the Midwest. DAVID RUBIN Land Collective thanks all of our clients and collaborators for continued support during our growth and expansion – it is our clients that allow us to practice socially purposeful work across the nation.
