LAND COLLECTIVE’s panel “Food For Thought: Productive Landscapes in the Public Realm” has been accepted for presentation at the American Society of Landscape Architect’s National Conference in Boston this November. The “Food for Thought” panel is comprised of Claire Baker – Director of Garden Programs at the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society, Luisa Oliveira – Senior Planner for Landscape Design in the City of Somerville and writer of the Somerville Urban Ag Blog, and David Rubin, Partner at LAND COLLECTIVE. The panelists bring a broad spectrum of experiences in the use of productive landscapes to re-condition the urban experience, to establish community, to inform societal health and vigor, and to revivify modern food production, in particular, how it can positively appreciate the value of culture in a cosmopolitan setting.
