Sun’s Out: David Rubin Jurist For 2015 Sunbrella Design Competition
LAND COLLECTIVE principal, David Rubin, has been asked to be a jurist for the annual Sunbrella Design Competition: “Sunbrella Future of Shade” which invites architects and designers to show the world how Sunbrella fabrics — both beautiful and durable — will change the way we think about building and space design. For the third year in a row, Architizer is organizing a design competition to stretch the limits of the Sunbrella fabric. The Sunbrella “Future of Shade” competition Three Grand Prizes of $10,000 each will be awarded to the architects that come up with the best design using the fabric, whether for a new or existing design. Registration ends March 27, and submissions are due on April 10, 2015. David is joining jurists Kyle Barker of MASS Design Group, and John Gant of Glen Raven Inc., as well as Marc Kushner from Architizer and Gina Wicker from Sunbrella who will serve as advisors to the jury.
