DAVID RUBIN Land Collective seeks an experienced landscape architect to join our studio. We’re looking for an enthusiastic, design-minded collaborator who represents the ethos and goals of the studio in both their temperament and their design skills. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in landscape architecture or architecture, with at least 10 years’ relevant experience. The successful candidate will be expected to perform a broad range of tasks within the studio, including but not limited to marketing and business development, project management, informing projects with design ideas that balance spatial- and form-based matters, project and staff management, proposal development, drawing production, technical review and all aspects of construction administration processes. Of particular importance is the desire and capacity to mentor junior staff.
Candidates should have excellent design skills and aesthetic sensibilities, and the ability to render ideas digitally and by hand. The position requires proficiency in AutoCAD, and Adobe Creative Suite, along with an appreciation for the utilization of other digital programs, including Rhino, and model-making as an integral part of the design process. Knowledge of Revit is not required but preferred. Horticulture, site sustainability, and other technical knowledge is a plus.
