POSITION SUMMARY: MARKETING COORDINATOR

DAVID RUBIN Land Collective is currently seeking a Marketing Coordinator to support the studio in day-to-day marketing and public relations efforts. DAVID RUBIN Land Collective is a landscape architecture, urban design, and planning studio in its sixth year of practice with locations in Philadelphia and Indianapolis. This position is based in Philadelphia, PA. The Coordinator position will collaborate with members of the studio and manage all marketing and social media efforts. The Marketing Coordinator will also collaborate with a Public Relations firm retained by DAVID RUBIN Land Collective.

Our new Marketing Coordinator should have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be well organized and detail oriented. Clear, cohesive and compelling writing skills are required, along with consistent messaging. Responses to marketing efforts will reflect the mission and visual language of the studio, but be tailored to every prospective client. The position requires organization and management of multiple projects with differing timelines. This team member must exhibit maturity, flexibility, enthusiasm, and a positive attitude and grace under pressure. An appreciation for art and landscape is valued, as is an understanding of the design fields (landscape, architecture, planning). This role reports directly to the Principal of Land Collective, David Rubin. Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Promotion Efforts & Business Development

  • Provide project summaries of potential efforts to the Principal for evaluation
  • Track potential RFQ/RFP and fee efforts, with each done in collaboration with a member of the studio
  • Develop proposal outlines & content using InDesign or standard word templates
  • Work with Principal and staff to develop project interviews and collateral
  • Interface with potential clients and collaborators to coordinate proposal information
  • Work with the Principal and staff on business development strategies

Social Media

  • Work with the Principal and members of the studio to establish regular posts on social media
  • Keep social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, etc.) up to date and networked
  • Integrate social media efforts with ongoing press & PR efforts

Public Relations

  • Use organization’s database to maintain accurate press, public relations, and event information
  • Interface with a Public Relations firm retained by DAVID RUBIN Land Collective, providing necessary information and imagery to support press efforts

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Minimum of three years of experience in similar setting or roles
  • A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Knowledge of business development and proposal processes (RFQ/RFP’s)
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A joyful and proactive approach to problem-solving
  • A strong connection to the firm mission
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, a must
  • Familiarity with Adobe Suites is a plus
  • Occasional travel will be required

  • Hours: Fill-time, Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm, with occasional need for extended focus as appropriate for a professional position
